VAPOR INTRUSION SERVICES
Vapor Intrusion is rapidly becoming the forefront of public and regulatory concern and the potential risk of exposure to soil and ground-water contamination demand that vapor intrusion be investigated. EnviroTrac has the expertise to test for, evaluate and mitigate this exposure pathway.

Vapor Intrusion Services

Our staff of engineers and scientists has conducted numerous vapor intrusion investigations and designed and installed many vapor mitigation systems in the Tristate area. We offer the services to evaluate the potential risk of indoor vapor exposure, develop and implement a testing plan, evaluate the testing data and design an appropriate cost-effective mitigation system.

EnviroTrac’s vapor intrusion services include:
  • Soil Vapor, sub-slab and indoor air testing
  • Data evaluation and risk assessment
  • Design and installation of residential and commercial mitigation systems
  • Source investigation
  • Soil and ground-water remediation
Hazardous Waste Sites

EnvroTrac’s experience includes vapor evaluation, testing and mitigation at hazardous waste sites. EnviroTrac has designed and installed large scale sub-slab depressurization systems for commercial buildings to control migration of vapors from hazardous waste spills.

Petroleum Spill Sites Petroleum spills at retail facilities can result in gasoline migration beneath buildings on the station or to adjacent homes and pose the greatest risk of impacting indoor air. Where noticeable vapors are detected or indicating by field testing equipment, EnviroTrac has responded immediately by installing mitigation equipment to eliminate potential explosion or health hazards. Other cases where dissolved gasoline ground-water plumes migrated over time and no noticeable vapors are present requires testing to determined if the potential for vapor exposure exists. EnviroTrac has developed the plans, implemented the testing and evaluated this potential exposure risk as part of the investigation work performed at retail spill sites.

Brownfield Projects Often the design and installation of mitigation systems are considered as a precautionary measure to eliminate the vapor intrusion pathway during brownfield development projects. EnviroTrac has provided the design and installation services under these programs.
