SUBSURFACE TRENCHING & SYSTEM PIPING INSTALLATION
Trenching The remedial equipment installed by EnviroTrac is most often designed to cleanup soil and groundwater contamination on behalf of our clients. In instances where contamination is areally limited at a site it may be possible to co-locate the treatment facilities and the extraction wells and other underground appurtenances. In other cases where the extent of contamination is greater and/or is found at separate discreet locations, or where the extraction and treatment facilities cannot be co-located based on site constraints or the presence of numerous wells, it is necessary to connect the extraction wells to the systems through lateral piping which is usually installed in the shallow subsurface. EnviroTrac’s construction crew routinely excavates required trenches and installs subsurface piping, in some instances spanning thousands of linear feet through varied terrain including roadways, landscaped areas and parking lots. We have found that in the right circumstances trenchless installation of subsurface piping provides significant benefits. In these cases, our construction experts work with specialist subcontractors to conduct these installations. TrenchingConsiderations for this work include minimizing the disturbance and damage to existing natural resources, limiting the quantity of soil handling and ensuring that proper site management and health and safety measures are employed at all times.
