SITE RESTORATION
EnviroTrac’s service does not necessarily end with the completion of impacted media remediation but often includes the restoration of the site to the client’s requirements and in accordance with permit specific conditions. Site restoration measures are undertaken to address the loss of resource(s) due to the remedial actions conducted. In simple cases, this work can be accomplished quickly and with a minimal amount of planning, documentation and administrative controls. In others, this work may require the generation of a documents that describe actions to be conducted in detail, detail goals and objectives and provide design criteria that will be used to assess whether the restoration goals have been met based on the performance standards that support established objectives. For example, a restoration workplan will provide detail regarding proposed materials, procedures for tree replacement and revegetation of disturbed areas, control of exotic invasive species during revegetation, and other site-specific measures such as the restoration of riparian areas. Beyond the restoration a monitoring and maintenance plan may be required specifying protective measures that will be taken to ensure proper site progress, in accordance with planned expectations. This plan also discusses actions to be taken in the event that landscape features are found to be failing or vegetation is not surviving or establishing as planned.
