COMPLIANCE AUDITS
EnviroTrac can guide your firm through the sometimes confusing and ever changing environmental regulations. We provide services to meet all aspects of RCRA, CERCLA, USDOT, CAA, CWA, OSHA, state and local regulations. We'll walk you through, or obtain on your behalf, permits and compliance documents for projects as diverse as, air, surface water, stormwater and groundwater discharge plans, air and water discharge permitting, hazardous waste management, waste disposal and recycling coordination and management.

EnviroTrac’s compliance services include:
  • Regulatory compliance audits and site inspections
  • Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans
  • Stormwater management
  • Environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance
Utilizing a team of professional staff with expertise in environmental, chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering, atmospheric sciences, hydrology, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, toxicology, and chemistry, EnviroTrac develops solutions by first understanding the client’s organizations and processes and the physical settings of their facilities. We assess compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations including the standing of the facility with regard to the client’s internal policies and procedures, and its adherence to good industry standards and environmental management practices.

Strategy Development - EnviroTrac works closely with the client to compile and review pre-audit data, assess regulatory issues and plan the on-site activities to be conducted. Data provided as part of the pre-audit questionnaire and document request lists are then added to and used to modify (if necessary) existing audit protocols to enable site specific environmental audit protocol enhancement/development.

Facility Review - Depending on the size of the site/facility the field auditing portion of the assessment is conducted over a single to multi-day period. The work includes a multi-faceted review of site information such as permits, employee training programs (content and documentation), emergency response procedures, government communications and reports, and employee interviews, among other items, as a basis for providing an assessment of environmental compliance and potential liabilities associated with historical and ongoing operations.

The facilities and surrounding areas are visited to review the nature of activities on-site and in proximity of the facilities. This exercise provides information on the general environmental setting, surface drainage patterns, surrounding land use, and proximity to water bodies or other potentially-sensitive environmental features, as well as adjacent industrial or other operations. General information such as raw material use, product transportation/delivery, handling and storage procedures, and site history will also be discussed with facility management and reviewed in detail.

Data Management and Reporting - A secure client access portal located on EnviroTrac’s corporate website is typically used to manage audit data and to facilitate sharing of information during the audit process. The portal allows for client specific project file set up, secure access rights to designated client personnel and audit team staff, and the ability to upload and download data that is pertinent to the project. Upon conclusion of the audit the results of EnviroTrac’s assessment are provided in a confidential report to the client.

Depending on the client’s business and specific issues related to the audited facility a wide variety of topics can be addressed in the scope of work including but not necessarily limited to:
  • Air emissions
  • Groundwater and wastewater
  • Hazardous and solid waste
  • Storage tanks
  • Spill prevention/control and storm water pollution prevention programs
  • Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA)
  • Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
